Currently, Tenured Associate Professor at Northeastern Illinois University where I also serve as Artistic Director of Stage Center Theatre, I am a versatile instructor at the collegiate and secondary levels. I bring over a dozen years of experience teaching in higher education and more than a decade of experience as an instructor. My class list has included a wide range of craft areas including: Directing, Acting, Voice for the Actor, Accents and Dialects, Musical Theatre Scene Study, Improv, and interdisciplinary courses that blend movement, performance, and design. I've built research driven courses at both the undergrad and grad levels with a focus on inclusive teaching practices with an intersectional lens. My teaching philosophy works toward building current and future models toward radical inclusion, equity, and the ideal for what theatre CAN be.
In serving the next generation of artists, I also serve as the head of the Musical Theatre Division at Actors Training Center in Wilmette, an artistic home for 13 year. I've previously taught at Columbia College Chicago, Northwestern University, The Chicago Academy of the Arts along with countless workshops, trainings, and coachings!
